Monday: Independent Reading in class with Literature Circle Discussions. Students turned in Literature Circle Discussion tasks. Graded Idiom Flip-Charts were returned to students. Analyzed poetry in class. Test over Poetic Devices and Figurative Language is on Thursday, April 18.

This week in English Language Arts, the students will be
finishing the unit on Poetic Devices and Figurative Language. They will be reviewing on Tuesday and
Wednesday, and the test over this unit will be this Thursday, April 18. The students will really want to study and be
prepared for this test, as it is our last major test this year.
All Independent Reading Books should be read and Book Report
Forms completed and turned in by Friday, May 3.
That day, students will be given their final Independent Book Project
assignment.
