The students will be getting back to the normal routine in English Language Arts this week since the beginning of the year testing has been completed. They will continue on with the unit over Story Elements and Plot Analysis. The notes over this unit will be kept in the pocket folder they brought to class. This folder will hold all units of study in English this year, and the students are expected to bring this folder with them to class each day and take it home to study each evening.
Students brought home their first Writing Warm-Up study packet last Thursday to prepare for the quiz this Thursday. I will be holding an extra after-school study session this Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:00 for all who want to stay for extra practice before the quiz.
What is Happening:
Monday: No SchoolTuesday: Today in class, the students completed a grammar review over common and proper nouns to use to study for Thursday's Writing Warm-Up Quiz. They also resumed taking notes over parts of a story in their study folder.
Wednesday: Students used classtime today as a workday to finish any incomplete English assignments. The after-school study session was held from 3:30 to 4:00 for those who wanted extra practice for tomorrow's Writing Warm-Up Quiz.
